This year you won best male actor at the SX awards...again!  Congratulations of course, but you have won so many times, both judges and popular votes over such a long period of time, which is pretty rare.  What would you put your long-term appeal down to?

Larry Vinaver: I did yes, remember it was a judges vote so I was lucky to share with my good friend Torsten Holst who was the popular vote winner. That was a great victory for us both and the respective directors of movies we both share in the forms of Mitzy Broadway from Filthy Penny and Marcuba of SPH.

I was going to try and figure out how many but it just seemed like hard won so I gave up counting :P

So you have done a lot of photography in the past but you mostly do film now is that right?

Larry Vinaver: I think that I am one of those actors that has due to the volume of movies I have been lucky to be involved in has become a 'mainstay' in the adult movie industry in SL  I also have an instantly recognisable look ..and I am one of the few actors to actually voice on  movies with my own voice.

I do indeed do a lot of movies nowadays yes. I did officially semi retire that once caused a lot of concern so I reassured them it was semi, meaning I get the weekends off if any events or parties at Maui or other resorts /clubs  and Wednesday afternoons off to play SL golf.

Larry Vinaver: I still do a fair amount of photography.  In fact my flickr has over 14,000 pics and i have displayed at galleries including FFI, Gabrials , Power of 3  and a few others ..

I think it's a really good point about your look.  I think we have that in common, a very specific look and brand.  I know that was something I thought about when I started, was it the same for you?

Larry Vinaver: Your look is amazing Niki and you are extremely photogenic. It is a pleasure to see your pics.

As much as I love my look sometimes it can be a bit limiting.  So many times I think about how much easier my shots would be without freckles :P

So you're still really active doing photos and film, do you have a preference for one over the other.  As in what do you enjoy working with more?

Larry Vinaver: I do love the movies I admit.

Why is that?  Is it that it's a more dynamic kind or media?

Larry Vinaver: well it’s the camaraderie of working with others a social thing which is producing something worthwhile and enjoyable for residents in the for of adult entertainment, and yes it is well received on a wider scale

I can see that.  I haven't done a lot of film with other actors but even on photo shoots with a few models it takes some teamwork and there's definitely a bit of a sense of achievement at the end.

Larry Vinaver: you also find you are working with people who have become friends of many years.  Recently I was working in a movie with Partee who I have known for many years.  In fact we auditioned together when we both first started in the business.

Oh absolutely!  And it helps that the majority of people in SL porn are pretty friendly.

Larry Vinaver: oh yes it is a close-knit group

In fact, I remember when I was just a girl in SL with way too high libido and an excess of creativity asking if I could work with you.

Larry Vinaver: and of course, there are many parties outside where you can meet stars from other studios and forge friendships both social and working ...

haha that was a long time back Niki.  I was actually honoured that you spoke to me ...I always thought I was an old 'has been ' lol.

But you have progressed as is the natural way ..I am very proud of you, my compliments.  I am glad that libido has not reduced any as well:-)))

I remember I was pretty nervous asking.  I wasn't sure you would be interested, and I loved some of your work.  But you were really nice, and we got some hot shoots done and we've been friends ever since!

I always try and get some inside tips for anyone out there starting up in SL porn, would you say that's a good one?  If you want to work with someone who's work you like just ask them and they'll probably say yes?

Larry Vinaver: In general I would say that works well ..however it sometimes has to be approached from a tactical angle.  The best way is to meet at a social event ...a party or a gallery showing especially if it’s one that shows their work.  That 'ego massage' can be a catalyst.  I am always delighted to work with anyone of course, especially yourself:-)

Larry Vinaver: hahaha well it will certainly 'sweeten my judgement' on working lol.  A friend of mine has the phrase 'sweet as Tupelo honey' ..I respond ' You'll have to make do with Rowse Worcestershire Honey in my case, Gery; that's all we got in the UK ! ' Lol

So aside from the honey, what do you look for when you're casting for a film or for a photo shoot?

Larry Vinaver: I like a good set, a good story and some good looking people....thankfully I always find all of those.

I know that everyone is professional but when the planets all align like that is it easy for a scene to naturally hot for you as a performer?

Larry Vinaver: Oh naturally.  Of course, when you get to know people in this business after many years and previous movies you worked together in you do get a kind of 'compatibility sixth sense' that helps you work together and achieve better results. You can predict their moves and vice versa.  I suppose they call it 'teamwork' :-))

And of course, any natural attraction is a bonus, but every star I have ever worked with is tremendously attractive.

And that's a big part of getting a great performance.  I like to think that if I shoot with models that I'd enjoy sex with anyway the end result is going to be just as erotic and it's just a fine line between keeping it professional and having fun.

Larry Vinaver: Oh yes ...the two can mix but it has always got to be professional.

hehe, I've been known to be more leaning towards the fun side more than professional.

Larry Vinaver:  That is fine. They always mesh enough to work well:-))

And it’s a bonus every time:-))

So last question that I ask everyone.  Who do you think is out there in SL porn that might be the next big thing that we should all be looking out for?

Larry Vinaver: Oh, that is a difficult one ....

Larry Vinaver: well I would say that one major rising star is Geralyn Yorkiv, if you look at her work ..it is sensational.  And a model I use called Lara Smith, both very beautiful.  And males of course ..SPH  Daves Dimples, an impressive actor with a volume of work that is impressing.  High praise from me considering he is English lol!!

Geralyn did so well this year at the awards too so you’re definitely onto something there.  Ok, I'll have to pay more attention to them for sure.
